After the downfall of Quel’Thalas and with the Sunwell lost, the Quel’dorei were renamed into the Sin’dorei, the "Children of Blood", by their very Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider.
With several campaigns done, the change in the blood elven path became more apparent. The Prince allied himself with Illidan Stormrage’s forces, leading the Sunfury Elite into the Outlands after their combined armies failed to defeat Arthas’ forces in the icy land of Northrend.
Sathron Sunfire, as well as Thallandor Dawnflame, had served among Kael'thas' command for many years by then and both happened to be stationed at the Sunfury Hold in the Netherstorm at first. Whilst Magister Dawnflame was later sent to a Manaforge named "Ara", it was Master Sunfire who led a small elite force of the Sunfury into several battles.
Later, as both of them had proven their value, they were bound together into a new organization to be sent to Shadowmoon Valley, as a token force of the Sunfury in the servitude of Lord Illidan Stormrage. The Eclipsion Blade was founded, stationed at the Eclipse Point and led several raids deep into the blighted land in order to hone their skills and further obscure the enemies of their people. It was then that they learned a great deal about Illidan, the demons, as well as the Illidari overall. With that knowledge, the hate for the Burning Legion came to a sentiment that survived the downfall of the Betrayer.
It was this very hatred and distaste for the Burning Legion that ultimately freed the Eclipsion Blade from the grasp of their doomed Prince. As he attempted to bound them to the Sunfury once again in order to send his forces to the Isle of Quel’Danas, his betrayal had become clear. Upon the revelation of Kael'thas’ madness, the Eclipsion Blade deserted the forming Dawnblade forces immediately, and aided in the onslaught alongside the Shattered Sun. Yet as the dust of the battle lowered, the very small division was no more. Its members went on several paths from that day on, seeking redemption and to find their place in society.
~
With many inner and outer threats knocking at the door and many years after the crusade against the Dawnblades, the Eclipsion Blade has been reforged by Mor’denath Dawnlight, whom functions as Inquisitor of the regency to assure that the other two leaders, Sathron Sunfire and Thallandor Dawnflame, would make true of their intent, and use the Vanguard to wreak havoc upon all who dare oppose the children of blood; this time in the servitude of the regency and to the demise of the High Kingdom's enemies.

Leading figure of the division, the Inquisitor oversees the actions of the two branches, ensuring their loyalty to the Thalassian Realm and to the Children of the Blood as a whole and takes orders only from the Regency and its delegates. The Inquisitor will never prefer one branch over the other regardless of its abilities and proficiencies; he is the one who validates the initiatives within the Eclipsion Blade and is the figure that has the final decision on the military deployment of the division.
The research branch of the Eclipsion Blade is orchestrated by him. The Inquisitor also represents the Eclipsion Blade in the political cauldron that is the Blood Elven capital. The title of Councillor within the Thalassian Conclave allows this figurehead to introduce the interests of the division to the eyes of the Major Sin'dorei organizations.
He not only works to gain power and influence within Silvermoon in the name of the Blade but also serves as an archivist, a liaison of the Sunfury Spire, an ambassador, and a silver-tongued speaker.
~ The current Inquisitor of the Eclipsion Blade is: Lord Mordenàth Dawnlight

As the figurehead of the military branch, the Champion is responsible for the course of action pursued by the Eclipsion Blade within the field of battle or deployment.
It is under his guidance that the military actions are made solely for the benefit of the order and the Thalassian realm. In the battlefield, he functions as a commanding unit for the Knights and Rangers and has the power to rule over the casters when the Inquisitor has no special tasks for them. The Champion is chosen for his tactical mind and for his ability to quickly change the plans (when necessary) during the battle.

The current Champion of the Eclipsion Blade is: Knight Champion Vorathel Bloodcrest

The Paragon has been chosen to stand as an officer unit of the Eclipsion Blade as a reward for their exceptional loyalty, utmost ability and dutiful resemblance of Thalassian virtues in and outside the realm.
They are directly assigned to one of the three leading figures of the Eclipsion Blade and serve as a manifestation of their will, also offering them counsel and their own views to ease the burden of decision making. These proud Blood Elves are the pinnacle of aspiration within the Eclipsion Blade. Only the most capable will ever stand as a Paragon of this Thalassian vanguard force.

The Bloodsworn is the most respected and capable non-officer unit within the Eclipsion Blade.
They can be considered as the elite of the elite, chosen from the already few Bloodwarders in order to become the right hands of their respective Paragon and thus expand the hierarchy of the Eclipsion Blade within their ranks in an efficient manner. These proud elves have sworn a blood oath to the Eclipsion Blade and will fight valiantly to protect their values; Thalassian values.
Current Bloodsworns: Alyxia Suncaller

The Bloodwarden is stood as Elite within the Eclipsion Blade, a prestigious rank that can only be achieved by the most devoted followers of the order.
Only a Sunsworn can ascend in rank to become a Bloodwarder and only so if a Paragon has deemed them worthy of such. Once that is done, a blood oath must be sworn in the presence of at least one of three head figures of the Eclipsion Blade. Thus their loyalty and devotion to the Eclipsion Blade is unmatched and so is their skill, making those stood at this rank a powerful and fearsome addition to the forces of the Eclipsion Blade.
Current Bloodwarden; Kelani Frostfire, Aeraris Sunspark, Aumellia Goldbirth

The Sunsworn are the Veterans of the Eclipsion Blade and if the Eclipsions are considered the beating heart of the Blade, then the Sunsworn can be considered the blood flowing through it.
They have proven their loyalty through an oath, have proven their ability through battle and have proven their right to become a Sunsworn through trial. They are respectable and higher ranking Eclipsions; to be a strong, leading example for the unit.
Current Sunsworn: Altaria Bloodrose, Aery Stardreamer, Eralm Qu'eltaes, Zanatya Dawnseeker, Meyren Sevelar, Alynorae Belvarith, Sellanor Greenshield, Aenicus Bloodmourn, Neralynn Aresh'neod, Mithlas Dusksworn, Val'nahl Voidstar.

The Eclipsions are the beating heart of the order. It is their effort, their ambition, and their blood and sweat that resembles the very core of the Eclipsion Blade.
They are proud examples of the Thalassian elite and their discipline and display of skill strike fear and despair into the hearts of their enemies.

Only the talented and skillful Sin’dorei can become part of the Eclipsion Blade, given its most dangerous nature. Those that manage to ascend to the rank of an Adept, have yet to prove and make evident their skill in the field, as well as having to convince their superiors of their worth. With this done, they can ascend to the rank of one of the elite, the Eclipsions.

The Affiliate rank consists of allies and close contacts who mainly work to provide support to the division. An important point to remember is that an affiliate is not a full member of the Eclipsion blade, (and as a consequence the division doesn't take responsibility for their actions) however an affiliate can be summoned to provide his or her aid on the battlefield. In such a case? The affiliate is forced to follow the commands of the Inquisitor in order to be effective whilst directly working alongside the Blade's full members.
Of course, not being a part of the division has its downsides; Affiliates cannot take part in more sensitive missions and meetings; their presence in the field is permitted only if the triumvirate consents that their presence is beneficial to the expedition or mission. An Affiliate doesn't represent the guild in any IC way.
The Alt rank is self-explanatory. Members of the Eclipsion blade (from adept upwards) are allowed to invite their alts. If the alt is OOC, it can't take part in events (Unless the Guild leader consents to it) and does not represent the guild in any IC way.
However, Affiliates and Alt characters are subject to the same OOC rules as the rest of the guild in order to preserve the guild's good name, roleplay, and reputation.

~ Ic:
The Eclipsion Blade works to be integrated once again as part of the Thalassian army. This Vanguard follows a certain purpose and obliges the command of the Regency and its representatives. They actively seek to recruit new potential soldiers (having a preference for those who served under the banner of the Sunfury or in Shadowmoon Valley) to bolster their ranks, but the criteria are demanding. If you seek to join you will have to make for a direct approach and undergo an initial trial to make evident your ability to be considered an Adept of the Blade.
~ OOC:
Who we're looking for:
- Players who like to explore Blizzard's lore content via DMed events.
- Players who are not afraid to get their character injured/severely injured, and understand that reckless actions on the battlefield could lead to the death of their character.
- Players who are up to leave common roleplay hubs behind (Silvermoon/Orgrimmar/NameIt) and spend a period of time between 1 to 3 weeks each month in the open wild, fighting on the frontline or in dangerous sabotage/infiltration missions.
- Players who want to become an ACTIVE part of our little (but happily mental) community, keeping drama behind to spend some time together doing dangerous stuff.
The Blade's "TRIAL" period (for Adepts and Affiliates):
Every player who joins the rank of Adept or Affiliate goes through a test period, during which we keep an eye out for:
- Activity
- Roleplay quality
-OOC behavior.
During the first three weeks, activity plays a major role when it comes to our final decision. New applicants who join the guild and will log on only for PvE/PVP content, or roleplay just one or two evenings (WITHOUT a reason of course, may it be IRL/PC issues, vacations, or w/e!) will be removed from the guild.
The "test" period lasts for a month; after it, the Adept will be promoted to the Eclipsion rank and become 100% part of our happy crew!
This said it's good to point out that we are not the kind of guild that forces our members to attend to 5 events a week, but we still remain a roleplay guild and, sometimes, removals for inactivity are inevitable.
Guild kick/ honorable dismiss from duty:
Every guild removes a player from its roster if some criteria are not met. In the same way, players are free to leave the guild on their own without risk to be considered "deserters" (take IRL army as a reference!).
Characters can be removed from our roster for the following OOC reasons:
- 25 days of almost or complete inactivity, may it be because the character doesn't log in anymore, or because of the player doesn't take part in our roleplay.
- 60 days (2 months) of very weak roleplay activity, while actively roleplaying on other characters.
- Lore-break, followed by the player's unwillingness to adjust the character to Warcraft lore.
-Toxic behavior and drama.
It is possible to accept characters who were removed ONLY for inactivity reasons, but they'll undergo a trial period of 14 days (Instead of 25)
Characters can be removed from our roster for the following IC reason:
- Constant inability to follow the orders and behavior issues.
- The said character wishes to be dismissed in order to pursue another path (in this case, the character will be honorably dismissed from service).
- Treason, murder, and so forth.

~ Ic:
- You obey thalassian law, as well as the law of the Horde.
- You will represent thalassian pride and are obliged to act accordingly to that.
- You will always treat your comrades, your allies and your kin with absolute respect.
- Remember the Prince for the elf he was, not for the monster he became.
- You are part of the eternal realm’s elite vanguard, you shall take pride in your affiliation.
- When on duty with the Eclipsion Blade, you will remove any influences from your civil life. Failure will result in severe punishment.
- Deserting from duty and betraying the realm, will result in severe punishment.
~ OOC:
- Metagaming, power-emoting, and god-modding are strictly forbidden.
- Harassing other players, be it in or outside of the guild, is not tolerated.
- Keep your private RP far from public places (open world included). Generally keep your ERP away from the public.
- When engaging in extreme forms of RP, consent from all involved parties is necessary, along with screenshot evidence of such an agreement.
- Adhere to the lore of the setting: lore-breaking is not accepted.
- Whilst the guild maintains an "IC is IC" attitude we operate a zero-tolerance policy on OOC drama. The Eclipsion Blade believes in a pleasant and friendly OOC atmosphere and any player whose behavior threatens this will be warned to correct their behavior. (Or in the case of repeated offenses? Removed from the guild).
- Our Demon Hunters are forbidden to linger in Silvermoon City or any other major Horde settlement unless the character has a -very- valid reason to be there. Lore pretends the class to always do what they have been trained for; if you want to stand still on the sidewalk of the Royal Exchange and wait for people to approach you, roll a rogue instead.
- Respect people’s immersion. Keep your OOC away from /s /e /y when standing in an active roleplay zone.
