The darkness would have fallen upon the seat of the High Kingdom. Eralm sat upon the edge of the balcony of her parental house her eyes wandering upon the waters ahead, dressed in a simple yet elegant dress, the one whom she had fashioned the recent days, she liked it, for once... It had been a while the young Elf sat here. She’d then momentarily gaze upon the four-week-old Dragonhawk hatchling, who’d be wrapped around her arm, gently playing with Eralm’s fingers as she wiggles them now and then. She had acquired him only a week ago, yet she already grew fond of him. Soon she’d have to leave him behind, as she went to Argus, she couldn’t possibly take the Hawk along with her there, it was too dangerous.

“Era?” would come from the doorway, a male Ranger standing there. The male, battle hardened, would step closer to the young Elf, laying a hand upon her shoulder “You should have told me you were here.” as the male Elf would gently wrap a hand around the young Elf, who’d try to resist, a low mumble “Dad…” as she’d just give in, feeling herself pulled to the male Ranger, in a hug, a huff escaping the Elf as she was hugged. “I thought you were deployed to the Shore; Mum said so.” as Eralm would look up to her father, who’d simply shake his head “No, I returned recently. I was… deployed elsewhere.” as the male Elf would gently release Eralm, looking up at the silver Dragonhawk, moving to gently pet him “A new friend?”, the young Dragonhawk responding with a snatch for the male’s finger, who’d pull his hand back after, smiling. Eralm would dip her head, gently moving to pet the Dragonhawk, before mumbling, as cold as she could get; “Yes.”

A long conversation followed between the two, about work, her deployments. Her father never agreed about Eralm becoming a Ranger, he wanted her elsewhere… Closer to home, safe. He certainly was not pleased about her deployment upon Argus, but knew little could be done about it, he had tried and failed, only causing harm to their relationship. “Are you staying for the night?” would the male Elf ask, smiling warmly at Eralm. It had been a while she had gotten such smile, but it had been many years since they last saw each other. Eralm would dip her head; she didn’t have much choice, knowing her father “I will, Dad. Is Lely in bed yet?” as Eralm would smile a little; her younger sister was probably the most important reason she was here. Eralm’s Dad would simply nod, as he’d move to lean onto the balcony.

As Eralm departed from the balcony, her mother would join her father, as they’d seem to discuss. The young Elf would walk to her former bedroom, opening the door slowly and gently; she didn’t want to wake her younger sister. She had seen her earlier, and the reunification between the two was emotional yet joyful. Silversun would lay himself down at the child’s feet, as Eralm entered the room. She’d kneel before the younger Elf, gently petting her head. She was safe, kept from harm due the efforts of the Blade, the soldiers of the High Kingdom. A reason to fight, for Eralm. Eventually, Eralm would fall asleep herself, her head laid down against the nightstand, as support. Wrapped in by blankets by her mother, who always patched her up whenever she had gotten into trouble.
